Law Enforcement & Public Safety

The Henderson Police Department works closely with the York County Sheriff’s Department to serve the community by protecting citizens and property, preventing crime, enforcing laws and city ordinances, and maintaining order.

Public Safety

The Henderson Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department is responsible for providing an efficient and effective delivery of fire, medical, rescue, and emergency services to the community. The Fire and Rescue Department also serves as storm spotters during severe thunderstorms as they watch and monitor weather development and progression and relay this information to local authorities for the protection of Henderson citizens.

The Volunteer Fire and Rescue Station is located at 1319 Birch Street.
