Recreation

The Recreation Department has a committee of several volunteers that help with events throughout the year. The events include the Easter Egg hunt, the summer softball/baseball program and the parade in July. The baseball/softball program is the biggest event for the recreation department as Henderson has several girls and boys teams ranging from kindergarten to high school age kids.

During the Henderson Community Days the recreation department has games for children in the City Park and they help organize the parade. A Halloween Party is sometimes organized in the fall and maybe even a horse-driven sleigh ride around Christmas time.
