Article 6. Amendments

§12-601              AMENDMENTS; ADOPTION; NOTICE. The regulations, restrictions, and boundaries set forth in this Chapter may from time to time be amended, supplemented, changed, modified, or repealed.

             The City Council shall receive the advice of the Planning Commission before taking definite action on any contemplated amendment, supplement, change, modification or repeal. No such amendment, supplement, change, modification or repeal shall become effective until after separate public hearings are held by both the Planning Commission and the City Council at which parties in interest and citizens shall have an opportunity to be heard.

             Notice of the time and place of such hearing shall be given by publication thereof in a paper of general circulation in the City of Henderson at least one time ten days prior to such hearing.
